Challenging Times!

Tuesday 13th November is yet another difficult milestone that will challenge me, my family and close friends.  As many of you will already know November 13th is Caroline's birthday.  Traditionally Caroline, me and the kids would go out for dinner to a place chosen by whoever's birthday it was. Caroline really enjoyed Bottlelinos so that’s where we will be celebrating.  I am really thankful that so many of our friends and family are going to join us on the day to support us.  The close circle of friends and family has been fantastic and words cannot express how much I appreciate and love these people.  The whole experience has definitely brought us closer.

Carolines birthday also marks a number of emotional milestones for my family  and will hit us in rapid fire.  Following Caroline's birthdays there is Georgina's birthday (7^th December) followed quickly by Christmas and then New Years eve.

I've made my mind up that each of these milestones will be dealt with in our own traditional family manner.  To do anything else will mean that we are changing our lives because of Caroline’s passing and in any case whatever we do there will be an “empty chair”.  Most of all Caroline wouldn't have wanted us to do anything different. As she told us all we have to all enjoy ourselves and there should be no tears. She always drove a tough bargain.  If we've got the strength we will even sing happy birthday on 13^th November!
